Conocimientos que tienen los pacientes diabéticos y sus familiares sobre la enfermedad y sus cuidados en el hogar en el HNDAC

Abstract

El presente estudio titulado “Conocimientos que tienen los Pacientes Diabéticos y sus Familiares sobre la Enfermedad y sus Cuidados en el Hogar, en el HNDAC”, tuvo como objetivo general determinar el nivel de conocimientos que tienen los pacientes diabéticos y sus familiares sobre la enfermedad y sus cuidados en el hogar y como objetivos específicos identificar el nivel de conocimientos que tienen los pacientes diabéticos sobre la enfermedad, identificar el nivel de conocimientos que tienen los pacientes diabéticos sobre los cuidados en el hogar, identificar el nivel de conocimientos que tienen los familiares de los pacientes diabéticos sobre la enfermedad e identificar el nivel de conocimientos que tienen los familiares de los pacientes diabéticos sobre los cuidados en el hogar. Con el propósito de obtener y brindar información fidedigna y actualizada al personal de enfermería, para que puedan desarrollar nuevas estrategias como la implementación de un programa de actividades educativas orientadas a favorecer la recuperación y adecuado control de los pacientes diabéticos y sus familiares. Se trata de un estudio de nivel aplicativo, tipo cuantitativo y método descriptivo de corte transversal. La población de estudio estuvo conformada por 75 pacientes con sus respectivos familiares, que acudieron al consultorio externo de endocrinología durante el mes de diciembre del 2007 y enero del 2008. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y el instrumento un formulario tipo cuestionario.

This is a study of application level, type and method quantitative descriptive cross. The study population consisted of 75 patients with their respective families, who came to office external endocrinology during December 2007 and January 2008. The technique used was the survey instrument and a standard form questionnaire.
